Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder or flakes
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 4 cups of rice
- 7 cups of water
- 1/2 cup of shredded cheese
- 1 head of lettuce, sliced
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
- 1 cup of black or pinto beans
- optional: avocado
Directions:
- In a medium Xtrema skillet, brown ground turkey.
- In a large Xtrema saucepan, bring the 7 cups of water to a boil.
- Once boiling, add rice, and cook until done.
- Once browned, add chili powder, cumin, paprika, onion flakes, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and 2 tablespoons of water to turkey. Mix well, add beans, and simmer on low for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Remove rice from heat when done.
- Scoop rice into ceramic bowls, top with meat mixture, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. Enjoy!
