Ingredients
- 1 LB of pizza dough, brought to room temperature
- Shredded or fresh mozzarella
- Pizza Sauce
- Various toppings of your choice
- Unbleached parchment paper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450 and place an oven rack on the bottom position
- Roll out your dough on a lightly powdered surface so it’s big enough to fit into your Dutch Oven. For the Xtrema 7.5 qt, we like to roll the dough out to 10-12 inches long
- Fold an 18-inch piece of parchment paper in thirds to make a “sling” for the pizza
- Gently transfer the pizza dough to the parchment paper and top with sauce, cheese, and toppings
- Let the Dutch Oven preheat by putting in on the oven’s bottom rack for 2-3 minutes
- Remove the Dutch Oven from the oven and gently place the parchment paper and pizza inside of the Dutch Oven
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden brown
